Reiki Energy Healing
The name “Reiki” (pronounced Ray-key) comes from the Japanese words “rei”
meaning spirit and “ki” meaning energy. It is usually translated as “Universal Life Force
Energy.”
Reiki is a powerful, yet gentle healing energy that works to alleviate the cause of disease
and not just treat the symptoms. It restores balance and harmony to a person or
animal's entire being: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual. The Reiki practitioner
channels the Reiki energy through her hands to the person or animal receiving the
treatment. Reiki may be channeled ether in person or over a distance.
Animals intuitively appreciate the Reiki energy and enjoy the treatments. They also
intuitively know when to stop, and will walk away when they have had enough. While
the Reiki Energy can do no harm, Deena always respects the animal's instincts and will
not do an energy treatment if the animal should not want it.
Reiki provides a beneficial healing energy that is a wonderful compliment to both
traditional medicine, as well as alternative therapies, such as acupuncture, homeopathy,
etc. Reiki does not cause any stress, discomfort, or pain, and yet
yields powerful results.
During a treatment, your pet may feel a warm or tingly sensation or nothing at all. Most
pets feel very relaxed after a Reiki treatment, and will often fall asleep during the session.
It is recommended that your pet rests for at least 24 hours after the Reiki treatment to
allow the energy to continue to work at even deeper levels.

Benefits of Reiki:
- Relief from pain of an injury or illness
- Increased healing after surgery
- Accelerated healing of injury or illness
- Increased comfort and relaxation
Distance Healing Treatments
Distance Healing is done by invoking the sacred
Reiki Distance Symbol and setting the intention
of connecting with your pet. Since Reiki is
Universal Life Force Energy, it is connected to
all life and can be sent from practitioner to the
recipient regardless of their locations. Distance
healing treatments are just as effective as ones
given in-person.
In cases where the animal may be anxious around strangers or too ill, distance treatments are a wonderful alternative since
the animal will be relaxed and more open to receiving the healing energy. Distance treatments are also available for those
who live out of the area.
